Lawless crafting

Lawless crafting

Building a brand and a business to be proud of is a struggle in this day in age. We don't want to go for fast fashion or unsustainable practices. This is something that this day in age is gaining popularity as well as gaining traction. We are seeing what we are doing to our earth and we want to try and be better. This is something that my sister and I are pretty passionate about and want to promote.

There is a problem with this, we both have so many different ideas on how to do this. We are both pretty much night and day when it comes to some things. Hence the butterflies and skulls in our logo, She is the bubbly designer who loves cute things and pink, I am the darker designer who loves skulls and dark humor. Together we work and in one way we do not differ. We both have ADHD, we both have squirrels in our brains that run the show and sometimes those squirrels don't want to finish things.

We have come up with a system using dice and a list. I am in no way taking credit for this idea but we did start it with our dinner choices a while ago and it helps with decision fatigue. We make a list of possibilities and roll the dice and the dice makes the decision for us. How does this work with business you may ask? Same way! We make a list of things that we either would like to have for markets or things that dont necessarily have a due date and we then roll with it! (see what I did there roll with it… I thought it was good)

Our latest case of rolling for crafting started with this set of drawers in each drawer is a project that has been started but hasn't yet come to fruition. She went through the drawers and added them to the list, she then searched through the other drawers and baskets and put those on the list as well. She then began to roll and start on the projects. Coming up you will be able to see how well our system works, or how we need to pivot to accommodate our needs. Either way this should be a fun experiment!
